Robotic buddy high fives you with each happy Twitter message
Say hello to Ken Lim’s “Guardian Robot,” which will keep an eye on your Twitter feed for happy or sad messages from your friends, raising its arm in triumph or lowering its head sulkily. While it may not look like much (though it’s still got an undeniable charm to it), the Guardian has a neat quirk: if it’s happy, a high-five to its raised arm returns it to its idle state. Along the same lines, a “hug” to its belly will stop it from being sad.
Your friends won’t get any of the love, but maybe it’ll remind you to send them some. Well, unless you hit up Guardian Robot at its Twitter account. Then it’ll high five or hug you all you want. Check out a video of the Guardian Robot down below.
Indulge your zombie sweet tooth with braaaaaaaaaaaains on cupcakes.
This guy built his own Batman Tumbler go kart. With his plans you can make your own. They’ll cost you a little over $30 for the plans, but it looks like that will be a small fraction of the total time and expenses for this project anyway.
Making a shirt of of a dollar bill is a nice trick, but it’s absolutely nothing compared to what Won Park can do with money. Check out his gallery for some insanely cool folding. Even better, he’s made PDFs and videos to help you make the same stuff.
As likers of knex and engineering, Gmjhowe, =SMART= and myself decided we’d start a little knex competition. Each month we will pick three items that we’d like to see redesigned in knex and invite you to have a crack at remaking them, with added functionality if you can!
