ILM Research Engineer Bhautik Joshi wanted to juice up his iPhone’s camera. So, of course, he took it apart, put in a bunch of stuff from a DVD player in order to get it to accept the images from a huge lens, and then duct taped that sucker on there.

And the results of all this work? Well, not that great, actually. It turns out, a fancy lens only really makes great pictures when it’s attached to a good camera with a good sensor. Who’d have thought? But hey, at least ol’ Bhautik has the least portable iPhone ever now.
