There’s no denying that the HD3 Complication Black Pearl watch is striking. It’s got all sorts of complicated, gear-related workings inside, all visible through the face. It’s got a sexy black and red color scheme, and it clearly is a complex work of art.
But hoo boy, $400,000 is steep. Sure, only 11 of them are being produced, but it’s still surprising to me that they’ll be able to sell that many at such a high price. But I guess it’s just evidence that a world exists where such things are normal. We normal people just don’t have access to it.
