Is a guitar with a touchscreen instead of strings still a guitar?

Call me crazy, but I don’t think a guitar that replaces strings with a touchscreen is going to catch on. Sure, the Misa Digital Guitar is striking looking, but come on. If you’re going to make a touchscreen instrument, why cram it into a guitar body?

But hey, I’m no musician, so what do I know? The Misa is basically a fancy MIDI controller that you can interface with software on your PC. Alternately, you can just use said software on your PC and use a normal guitar. It’s up to you!
