Fiat 500C by Diesel: the cabriolet lifestyle has arrived!

This item was filled under [ News ]

The Fiat 500C by Diesel debuted in Europe on the 15th April 2010, to coincide with the Milan furniture exhibition.
The new 500 cabriolet version of the model developed in 2008 as the result of collaboration between Fiat and world-famous fashion brand Diesel is on display for all to see in front of Diesel’s splendid flagship store in Piazza San Babila.

The 500C by Diesel will be available in Italy from May, and will later be introduced in all countries where the limited edition saloon, some 6,500 examples of which have already been sold, is also available.

This latest 500 version represents the ultimate in exclusivity and combines the two apparently distant worlds of fashion and motoring, worlds that actually share the same approach to talent, creativity, appeal and innovation – the winning ingredients of our world-famous Italian style.

The car’s exterior is characterised by aggressive 16″ alloy wheels, rear trim with dummy air intakes sporting the Diesel logo, yellow brake callipers (on the 100 HP 500 1.4) and details painted in satin chrome, including studded finishing elements that evoke the world of Diesel fashion. The interiors are also customised with dark denim style fabric with yellow stitching, a fifth pocket with the Diesel logo, the famous “Mohican” head on the gear lever knob and a special satin chrome coloured dashboard.

Depending on the market, the 500C by Diesel will be available in a choice of three body and soft-top colour combinations: a very special green with black top, an elegant black with black or red top, and an original “Midnight indigo” blue (that creates a stone washed denim look thanks to the fine texture of the paint and its ability to create an almost 3D effect) with ivory top.

A choice of four engines will also be available: the 69 HP 1.2, the 100 HP 1.4 16v, the 75 HP 1.3 MultiJet diesel with DPF, and the new 95 HP 1.3 second generation MultiJet turbodiesel equipped as standard with Start&Stop that emits only 104 g/km of CO2.

With this great new version, the Fiat 500 has once again confirmed its role as a genuine pop icon, an expression of massexclusivity (exclusivity that does not exclude!), a characteristic that has led to the manufacture of 500,000 units since the 500 was commercially launched just 31 months ago!
